So You Think You Can Dance
Exclusive Interview
Tony Meredith
Tony Meredith has spent a great part of his life dancing, thanks to his father’s music career and the fact that both his parents were social dancers. He is best known for choreographing several ballroom numbers on So You Think You Can Dance, including Sabra and Dominic’s jive and Courtney and Gev’s rumba. A couple of weeks ago, the former co-host of America’s Ballroom Challenge was nice enough to talk to me about working on the hit reality show, his career (with partner Melanie LaPatin) and his inspirations in the dance world.
THE BEGINNING:
Tony has been dancing his whole life. His parents were social dancers and his father was a musician, so it was only natural that Tony would be bitten by the dancing bug as well. He has trained in International Latin, Standard and Disco/Hustle, working with world-renowned dancers such as Ron Montez and Carmen DeLlavede.
THE MAKING OF A CHAMPION:
Tony and his partner Melanie Lapatin mostly competed in International Latin and represented the USA twelve world championships. Together, they have won over one hundred championship titles, including the North American Latin and the Dirty Dancing Championship. Read More...

Paintings of You Dancing! - Andrew Sokol

Not only do bodies look beautiful, but the movement of clothes, hair, even expression, is changing and dramatic. Add to that the color and design of gowns and costumes, and you have the elements for remarkable paintings." Below are examples of Andrew's work:
